What age can my child start swimming?
- It is always good to start children swimming as soon as possible, but we take children from 4 years old (after their first term in school). However we do have special sessions for toddlers.
Do parents get in the pool with the swimming lessons?
- No, all of our teachers are also lifeguard qualified so that customers can relax whilst they are in the water. Parents are welcome to swim in the main pool or enjoy a coffee or snack whilst they wait.
My child is ill can I have a refund?
- We assess each case on individual merit, but for instances such as a cold or other general illnesses we do not offer refunds. We cannot offer refunds because we cannot re-sell this space to another child, this means we are able to reserve the slot for your child.
How quickly will my child progress?
- This is a really difficult question to answer because everyone develops skills at different rates, some children may only take one block to move up. However, some children may stay on the same stage/level for a number of blocks.
What if my swimming lessons fall on rainy day?
- For private lesson, you can liaise directly with your teacher with regards to your class status during bad weathers. For group lesson, swimming lessons during thunderstorm and lightning will be postponed until safe weather conditions prevail. Lesson will be conducted as usual under drizzling rain.
Can I choose between male and female swimming teacher?
- Yes. You can definitely choose the gender of instructor you are comfortable with. However, female instructors has very high demand and so there are limited time slot available if you wish to have a female swimming instructor.
Are your swim teacher certified?
- Yes. Our coaches are certified Swimming Teacher’s Association(UK). They are definitely certified life guard too. We take your swimming lessons seriously and guarantee students safety throughout the lesson.
What is the maximum size of your group lesson?
- It depends on which level you are referring to. For adult swimming lessons, the maximum number of student in a group is around 10 students. For kids swimming lessons, the size will be 8-10 students.
What do I need to bring for my swimming lesson?
- You need to have your own swim gear, goggles and float board for the first lesson. Your swimming teacher may advise you to buy other equipments if needed.
What if my child cries during the swimming lesson?
- If your child cries, it doesn’t really mean your child isn’t ready for swimming lessons. Your child may be adjusting to the separation from Mom or Dad, getting accustomed to the new surroundings, or just having a bad day. Give your child some time and let him develop his confident, very soon he will be able to enjoy this wonderful experience in a total relax environment with us.
Why are infant and young toddler class have shorter lesson period?
- Research shows that young children have shorter concentration span. Therefore they will get tired quickly and tend to reject any other information if the lesson continue on for too long. Keeping the class period shorter will keep their interest in swimming.
